Xiaomi Redmi 5 and 5 Plus have already been tested in AnTuTu

The new state-owned enterprises of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are all good, but users hoped at least for a slight increase in the performance of smartphones, and then again - six hundred and twenty-five. The second generation in a row, the company uses the eight-core Snapdragon 625 processor in the older model, and the more compact device got the Snapdragon 450 with lower frequencies. As gadgets will cope with everyday tasks - time will tell, but the results of synthetic tests are available now:

In the benchmark AnTuTu, the younger Xiaomi Redmi 5 scored more than 55 thousand "parrots". Most likely, Snapdragon 450 will pull all modern games on low-medium graphics settings. For comparison, Redmi 4X on Snapdragon 435 is tested with a score of 43-44 thousand points.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is gaining 61-62 thousand points, this is a typical indicator for devices based on Snapdragon 625. Even the grown display resolution due to the proportions of 18: 9 did not affect the results in AnTuTu. Most likely, the optimization of the MIUI 9 shell also played a role.

In China, sales of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will begin next week, prices start at $ 120 for the younger model with 2/16 GB, and the Plus version will cost at least $ 151. This is the most affordable full-screen smartphones among the devices of well-known brands - the nearest competitor Honor 7X costs from $ 200 on the home market. None of the devices support NFC, although Chinese manufacturers often forget to install a module for contactless payments, even in more expensive devices. Too used to WeChat, where the ball is ruled by QR codes.
