Updated LG Gram notebooks: light, elegant models on Intel's 4-core CPU

LG will present three models of updated Gram notebooks at CES 2018. And though it's only a little less than a month, the Korean company has already revealed some details about the new laptops.

Features

The chip series is still light and slim design - three models of the LG 13Z980, 14Z980 and 15Z950 at 13.3, 14 and 15 inches weigh 965, 995 and 1095 grams, respectively. Their work is based on the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors of the eighth generation, and there will also be touchscreens, SSD disks, military standard MIL-STD 810G, cases of special carbon fiber (Nano Carbon Magnesium), fingerprint scanner, as well as USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports. The battery capacity of laptops will be 72 Wh.

What to expect

We expect stylish, thin, light and powerful notebooks with a price tag in the region of 800-1200 US dollars. Now competitors of notebooks can become Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, Huawei MateBook X, E and D series, as well as an updated line of Dell Inspiron laptops. During the CES 2018, other companies, in any case, will present their new notebook models, so the refreshed LG Gram series will have new competitors.
