Google plans to introduce new features to track friends on Google Maps.

The journalists of the edition of Android Police got into the code of apk-file of updating Google Maps and found there entertaining lines of the code. Judging by them, the company will add the ability to monitor the status of the battery smartphone of your friends.

Battery Status

This function is activated by the user. Otherwise, you will receive messages, for example: "The battery charge level is unknown to Zhenya." Google Maps will not be able to show the exact charge, but only a guess: "The battery level of the Zhenya battery is between 50% and 75%."

Location Alerts

Google plans to add a feature to alert your friends when you are nearby. This could be a planned meeting place or station. Also, you can assign your favorite stations and transitions, and map the short routes to them. Again, this function will only be active with the permission of the user.
