On the eve of the announcement of the first version of the Android P Developer Preview, more information about the OS appears on the network. Recently, the developers of XDA-Developers shared interesting information, which they found in the code of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

What is known

According to the information, smart phones on Android P will be able to work as a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse. Some of the found lines of code are present in the project since 2016. Android programmers simply did not enable this feature. But it all looks like this will appear in the new version of the OS. You can use a smartphone as a wireless keyboard or mouse, but for this it is necessary that the device has root-rights and a special application.

With this capability, users can remotely control the media system or, for example, switch slides during presentations using a smartphone.

When to expect

The official announcement of the system is expected on Google I / O 2018 , and the final version of Android P will appear, approximately, in August.
