G Suite has added a browsing history for Docs, Sheets and Slides

If you manage a staff of a large number of people, then it is important for you to know what they are doing. For such purposes, Google has added a browsing history to the G Suite service.

What is known

"Activity panel" was created primarily for administrators. In it, you can view your browsing history and access settings for G Suite users.

For example, the "Activity panel" shows who has already seen or read the document. Of course, users can turn off visibility settings so that the browsing history is not displayed. The administrator can configure visibility options. Some files will be for the eyes of employees, and others for customers. If the administrator gives access to view the "Dashboard" to the user, he will receive an alert with a brief instruction.

When to expect

The innovation is already available for G Suite administrators. For other users it will be available from March 21 in Docs, Sheets and Slides.
