According to Google officials, every third owner of the smart watch Android Wear uses them together with the iPhone. This caused confusion and questions about the compatibility of operating systems, after all, competing corporations. So Google simply removed the word Android from the name, emphasizing the "hospitality" of Wear OS.

Rebranding will come into force in applications of smart-watches and smartphones in the coming weeks.
