Qualcomm announced two chips for the Internet of things

Qualcomm has announced a new platform for creating Internet things, which is already available to developers. The company called the technology Vision Intelligence Platform, and it is useful for robots and smart cameras.

What is known

New single-chip systems are called QCS605 and QCS603. Chips will be used for machine learning and photo processing. The capabilities of the devices will be useful for industry and consumers: sports and security cameras, VR-360 and the like. The platform will support 4K resolution in 60 FPS and 5.7K at 30 frames per second. It also mentions simultaneous work with a lot of low-resolution images.

When to expect

Qualcomm said that the QCS605 is already available for working with 360-cameras. In turn, QCS603, which is used in industrial security cameras, will be available later in 2018.
