Nintendo: retro console NES Classic Edition will return to stores June 29

American Twitter-account Nintendo announced the resumption of sales of a mini version of the cult game console Nintendo Entertainment System - NES Classic Edition. It was first introduced in 2016, but the re-release was as rare as the legendary Pokémon. The third coming is promised to be extended at least until the end of 2018.

Return of the legend

NES Classic Edition (or Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System in the version for Europe) is several times smaller than the original model and comes with three dozen classic games, including Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Pac-Man. Cartridges are not supported, but if not satisfied with the standard set, for enthusiasts there are modified firmware.

Unlike another revived SNES Classic console, a mini-copy of NES comes with only one gamepad (which has a very short cable).

How much is?

At least in the US, the recommended price has not changed and is $ 60. Sales start on June 29, there is no information about the European release yet. Super NES Classic Edition also does not go anywhere and costs $ 80. Later this year, another reincarnation of the Sega Mega Drive Mini is expected, but how much it will cost is unknown.
