Elon Musk may bring back Vine's short video service, which was shut down in 2016

American billionaire Elon Musk, who last week completed a deal to buy the social network Twitter, may revive Vine.

The new owner of Twitter has published a relevant poll on his own account. At the time of writing, more than 3 million users took part in the survey, 69.4% of which voted yes.

Twitter acquired Vine 10 years ago and opened it to the public in late January 2013. By early April, Vine had become the most popular piece of software on the App Store. Despite its great popularity, the service lost competition to Instagram and Snapchat, causing it to shut down in October 2016.
