TCL unveiled the world's most affordable foldable display smartphone at CES 2022. The new product is called TCL Flex V.

What is known

The company brought a prototype of the device, code-named Project Chicago, to the Las Vegas show. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 765G processor, which appeared at the end of 2019 in the Redmi K30 5G. The battery capacity was 3545 mAh. The main camera has 48 MP and 16 MP modules, and a 44 MP sensor is used for selfies.

TCL Flex V is made in the form factor of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, but when folded, the gap between the two parts is not as noticeable as in the smartphone of the South Korean giant. The main screen has an aspect ratio of 22 to 9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

On the back side we can see a large vertical platform with the main camera, where there is a place for the second display. It is used to display notifications. The new product is based on Android 11. There is no more information about the parameters of the smartphone yet.

Price

TCL Flex V will be the world's cheapest bendable smartphone. It will go on sale at a price of about $ 600-700, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs $ 1,000. The timing of the new items on the market has not yet been specified.
