Google announced a stable version of Wear OS 4 and revealed when the Pixel Watch will receive the update

Apart from Android 14, Google also revealed the stable version of Wear OS 4 for the smartwatch.

Here's What's New About It

The system was developed in collaboration with Samsung. It is based on Android 13. Wear OS 4 boasts a new format for creating watch faces with XML markup - Watch Face Format. It facilitates the process of developing watchfaces.

Google has also added a new set of Tiles widgets to Wear OS 4, updated branded apps, and a feature that allows you to connect your watch to a new smartphone without resetting the data. According to Google, Wear OS 4 has become more power efficient.

When We Can Expect It

The Pixel Watch 2 will come with Wear OS 4 out of the box. As for the original model, it will get the update before the end of the year.
