Lenovo unveiled updated ThinkPad X1 laptops with 13th-generation Intel processors starting at $1649

Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad X1 line of laptops. The manufacturer decided not to wait for CES 2023 and introduced the new Carbon, Nano and Yoga models.

Here's What We Know

To start with, we note that all three laptops are equipped with 13th generation Intel chips and meet Intel Evo standards. There's HDMI 2.0b, two USB-A, two USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 and a Mini-Jack. Also in the arsenal is a webcam, fingerprint scanner and sound system with support for Dolby Atmos. The casing of each device is partially made from recycled materials.

The ThinkPad X1 Nano is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an SSD drive with a maximum capacity of 2TB. The screen has a 13" diagonal and a resolution of 2160 x 350 dots. The laptop itself weighs only 970g.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon has four times more RAM in the top-end modification, but the SSD capacity does not change. The display diagonal is increased to 14" and the resolution is up to 2880 x 1800 dots. Also note the DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga also carries up to 64GB of RAM and an SSD up to 2TB with PCI Express 4.0 support. The display is based on a 4K OLED panel (3840 x 2400 dots) with a diagonal of 14".

Price & When We Can Expect It

All new products will be available in April 2023. Closer to the start of sales, the cost of laptops may change, but for now Lenovo called the following prices:

  • ThinkPad X1 Nano - from $1649;
  • ThinkPad X1 Carbon - from $1729;
  • ThinkPad X1 Yoga - from $1859.
