The Hubble telescope sends holiday greetings with a New Year's Eve photo from space

The Hubble Space Telescope sent a "New Year photo" to Earth, which was shared by the European Space Agency (ESA). This has become a tradition.

Here's What We Know

The telescope has captured part of the Westerhout 5 nebula, which is located 7,000 light years from our planet. In the picture we can see multicolored stars scattered across a bright red background.

Also the traveling evaporating gaseous globule is worth noting. Such objects were discovered less than 30 years ago when Hubble took a picture of the Pillars of Creation in 1995. Stars are born from them.
