DeDrone unveils updated DroneDefender gun for drone suppression

The American company DeDrone presented an updated version of the DroneDefender gun, which is used to suppress unmanned aerial vehicles.

Here's What We Know

The weight of the gun is 3.5 kg, and the length is 55 cm. According to the manufacturer, it is the most compact gun in its range. The main task of the DroneDefender is to fight against intruder drones in urban conditions, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully use such guns at the front.

DroneDefender works in tandem with DedroneTracker, a platform that is responsible for tracking drones, identifying and prioritizing targets. The system can automatically detect communication protocols that need to be suppressed.

The manufacturer says the upgraded version of the gun can be used against both single drones and drones in a swarm. In 2023, the company will introduce a mobile platform for automatic targeting.
