Pico online de 218.250 jugadores en todas las plataformas y problemas con los servidores: Starbreeze da más detalles sobre los primeros días de lanzamiento de PayDay 3
PayDay 3, a co-operative heist shooter, was released on September 21, but the game faced several problems. Most players complained about the lack of diversity in the content and problems with servers. The situation was so critical that the head of Starbreeze Studios, Tobias Sjögren, apologised to gamers. However, on the day of release, the peak online player count for the game on PC reached 78,000 players. Now it has become known about the peak online on all platforms.
Here's What We Know
Starbreeze reported that during the first weekend, the game's online peak reached 218,250 players. In total, 1,347,510 gamers played PayDay 3.
The studio also spoke about problems with servers. The infrastructure did not work as expected and tested. The matchmaking software encountered an unpredictable error that made it unable to cope with the massive influx. This problem led to an irreparable situation for Starbreeze's third-party match management partner.
Starbreeze began to quickly launch new software, but it also led to instability in the infrastructure. Now everyone continues to work on improving and stabilising the servers.
Starbreeze is currently evaluating all options, both short-term and long-term. In the short term, this means that the studio will focus on ensuring player comfort. In the long term, this means looking for a new partner for matchmaking services.
Why wasn't this problem discovered during the beta test? It's simple, there were much fewer people then, so we managed to balance the system. The full release could not allow us to do this anymore.
PayDay 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. The game currently has 70 points from critics and 2 points from players on Metacritic.
