American billionaire Elon Musk went for a second round in an attempt to buy Twitter. The first ended with the businessman refusing to buy the company allegedly because of the large number of bots in the social network.

Musk's new attempt to buy Twitter is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the situation. Later, Sean Edgett, Twitter's legal advisor, confirmed receiving a letter from the billionaire's representatives.

Elon Musk first announced plans to buy Twitter in mid-Spring 2022 for $44 billion, or $54.2 per share. According to Sean Edgett, the company is now ready to close the deal at the same price.

Twitter's shares jumped 18% on the news of the purchase. After the resumption of trading, the securities continued to rise in price. The value reached $52. The daily growth was 22.24%.
