Snapdragon 670: the average chip is catching up on the power of the flagship Snapdragon 820

We already wrote about the future Snapdragon 670 chip and its tests in Geekbench. Now, the unannounced mobile processor has passed tests in the RenderScript service, which evaluates the graphics performance of the chips.

Test results

Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 with graphics Adreno 620 scored 6404 points. This is 1000 points more than in the same test Snapdragon 660 with graphics Adreno 512 in the smartphone Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (5483 points). In addition, this indicator is very close to the results of the flagship single-chip system Snapdragon 820 and judging by the tests will be the most powerful chip Qualcomm in the middle segment.

What is known

The Snapdragon 670 will receive four Kryo 360 cores with a clock speed of 2 GHz and the same number of Kryo 385 cores at 1.6 GHz. SoC supports 4 or 6 gigabytes of RAM memory format LPDDR4X and up to 64 gigabytes of internal memory eMMC 5.1, a display with a maximum resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, main and front cameras with modules of 22.6 and 13 megapixels respectively. There is a Snapdragon X16 modem with LTE Cat support. 16 and a speed of up to 150 Mbps. The date of announcement is still unknown.
