Apple has released an update for Mac OS X Leopard - 10.5.2. The update is over 180 megabytes in size and includes more than 50 "patches" for system components. Immediately after the release of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Apple was hit with a lot of cobblestones from the Microsoft supporters' camp, and not without reason: Leopard had a lot of stability and performance problems. Many Mac users even refused to switch to the new version of the OS. However, now the situation is starting to change gradually for the better. In particular, the 10.5.2 update released yesterday fixes more than 50 bugs both in the system itself and in the applications that come with it. Among the changes we'd like to highlight the following: The system menu can finally be made opaque. The corresponding setting can be found in the Desktop & Screen Saver section. AirPort - improved stability and throughput when working in wireless networks. Dock - new display options for stacks (list and folder). Active Directory - improved performance in Windows domains that use Active Directory. Besides, the list of updates includes "fixed problems with Russian keyboard layout", which we are particularly interested in. We don't know what it means yet, but we hope to find out soon.
