Studio head Jyamma Games explained why Enotria: The Last Song will be released on Xbox later than on other platforms

Many fans of the souls-like genre have long paid attention to the stylish game Enotria: The Last Song from the Italian studio Jyamma Games.

Back in February, the developers shared another trailer, which stated that the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

However, the latest trailer, unveiled two days ago at the Future Games Show, shared more than just a new release date. It stated that the game would only be released on PC and PlayStation 5, much to the dismay of Xbox Series users.

The head of the studio Jyamma Games Giacomo Greco hastened to clarify the situation.

Here's What We Know

The head of the studio gave an interview to the portal Eurogamer, in which he explained that the refusal to release the game on Xbox - this is a forced decision: the studio had insufficient resources for high-quality development of three versions of Enotria.

Italian developers had to make a decision in favour of PlayStation 5, because the company already has contracts with partners in Asia, where the Sony console prevails over American devices.

Giacomo Greco promised that the action will definitely be released on Xbox, but a little later. The version for this console will be developed in parallel with the work on add-ons for Enotria: The Last Song.

When We Can Expect It

Enotria: The Last Song is scheduled for release on 21 August 2024 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5.

A free demo of the game will be released soon.
