Apple may set up production in Indonesia

After meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that they are considering building a manufacturing facility in the country.

Here's What We Know

Tim Cook arrived in Jakarta after a visit to Vietnam, where he also held a number of important meetings. After talks with the President of Indonesia, he told reporters that he would consider manufacturing opportunities in that country.

The Indonesian government is positive about the possible expansion of Apple's facilities. They also expressed their readiness to support any initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's economy.

Despite the lack of production facilities in Indonesia, Apple has already had app development academies since 2018, in which it has invested heavily. However, the company's plans to expand its presence in the country may open up new opportunities for both Apple and local businesses.

It is worth noting that Indonesia, with its huge tech-savvy population, is an important point on the technological map of Southeast Asia. This country is becoming increasingly attractive for investment in innovation and technology.
