Older Samsung smartphones started showing coloured lines on the screen after a software update

Recently, Samsung smartphone users have been facing an issue that is causing them concern. After installing a software update, a green or pink line appears on the screens of smartphones. The issue affects not just one or two models, but a wide range of devices including the Galaxy A73, Galaxy M21, Galaxy M52 5G, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Here's What We Know

Some users claim that the problem occurred after installing the One UI 6.0 update or the April 2024 security update. This has caused fear among users and some of them have even started recording videos of the process of installing the new updates so that if the problem occurs, they can prove that it was not caused by physical damage.

The issue is causing distrust in Samsung as the OLED display is one of the most expensive components of a smartphone. Despite numerous complaints, Samsung does not seem to have taken concrete steps to address the issue. Users are expecting the company to issue a statement on the matter as soon as possible to restore confidence in the brand.
