Apple has filed a new patent application that describes the MagSafe smart wallet that can warn users about a card left behind after a purchase.

Here's What We Know

The MagSafe smart wallet uses a spring-loaded clip, similar to a mousetrap, to securely store cards. This mechanism helps to prevent cards from accidentally falling out of the wallet. It is equipped with a load cell that allows you to determine the number of cards inside. If a card is removed and not replaced within a certain time, the device will automatically notify you.

In addition, if necessary, the wallet can even prompt you to contact your bank to freeze the card if you leave it unattended for a long time.

The release date of the product is currently unknown.
