A bug on Android TV could put your Gmail account at risk

There is a new security threat for Android TV users that could affect their Google accounts, including Gmail and Google Drive. It has been discovered that a 404 security error could allow unauthorised access.

By gaining physical access to an Android TV device, attackers can access the last user's Google accounts. This means that hackers can view Gmail and other related services.

Experts recommend using a third-party web browser on your Android TV to install Chrome and access your Google account without having to enter a password or other forms of authorisation.

Although Google has acknowledged the issue and fixed it on newer Google TV devices, older devices remain vulnerable. The company is working on fixing this issue on older devices, but the exact time of release is not yet known.
