Serious vulnerability discovered in Android apps: Microsoft warns of threat

Microsoft has announced the discovery of a critical security flaw in Android apps that could increase the risk of data theft.

Here's What We Know

The vulnerability, known as Dirty Stream, could allow attackers to take control of applications and execute malicious code.

The problem is based on the misuse of the Android messaging system, which is supposed to protect data but can be used by attackers to gain unauthorised access.

It is noted that the vulnerability is widespread in many popular Android applications, including Xiaomi's File Manager and WPS Office, which have billions and hundreds of millions of downloads.

Microsoft is actively working with the developers of these apps to fix the issue, and Google is also taking steps to prevent similar vulnerabilities in the future.

In order to protect themselves, Android users are advised to keep an eye out for app updates, download apps only from the official Google Play store, and avoid dubious sources.
