Windows 11 has been installed on the legendary Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship

Enthusiasts continue to experiment with installing Windows 11 operating system on old Xiaomi flagships. This time they managed to run the OS on a smartphone announced in 2017.

What is known

A build of Windows 11 on ARM along with software EDK2 UEFI Firmware for Snapdragon 835 mobile processor. To call the operating system on Xiaomi Mi 6 workable it is possible, but with a stretch. The OS boots in about a minute, and when opening windows the smartphone often thinks for a few seconds.

Note that Xiaomi Mi 6 is not the first old flagship of the Chinese company, which managed to install the operating system Windows 11. Recently, enthusiasts did it on Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 the same year of release, and even earlier got to Xiaomi Mi 8, which last spring turned three years old.
