A rare NFT was accidentally sold at a 99% discount - the owner received $ 3,000 instead of $ 300,000

The trader lost approximately $ 297,000 due to an annoying typo when reselling a rare NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.

What is known

The Bored Ape Yacht Club collection consists of 10,000 monkey pictures. One of these days we wrotethat photographer John Knough resold NFT # 9452 for 347 ETH ($ 1,380,000), buying it for 0.08 ETH ($ 320). The owner of the non-fungible token # 3547 also wanted to make money.

The trader purchased the image in late spring 2021 for 1 ETH, when the cost of "ether" was about $ 2,200. Ultimately, he earned on resale, but several hundred times less than originally planned.

Owner # 3547 made a mistake in specifying the value of the asset and ended up selling it for 0.75 ETH ($ 3,000) instead of 75 ETH ($ 300,000). Now it is being resold for 85 ETH ($ 331,000 at the current exchange rate)

As a reminder, NFT # 3547 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection is a rare image. The market value of the non-fungible token is 60 ETH ($ 234,000 at current exchange rates).
