Looks like Tesla stole the design of a "Cybertruck-style" cat lounger from a Taiwanese company

A couple of weeks ago, Tesla introduced a rather unusual product on the Chinese market - a cardboard cat bed made in the style of the Cybertruck electric pickup truck. Now it turns out that it appears to be plagiarised.

Details

Taiwanese manufacturer Hulumao has in its range a cat lounger almost identical to Tesla's new product. Only, of course, without the brand logo. And the most interesting thing is that the firm has been producing these layettes since 2017.

The company Hulumao posted on Instagram, in which it compared the two lieges.

"Dear Mr. Elon Musk, although we don’t know each other, very thank you for promoting our product with Tesla logo on it and selling it in China. Meanwhile, we are sure we have never manufactured this model for Tesla company in China nor licensed the design to you. There must be something misunderstood in this matter".

At the same time, the founder of Hulumao says that the company has no patents on its products, as it is very difficult to protect the intellectual property rights of such products. Therefore, suing Tesla is likely to be a no-no.
