After 17 years, a re-release has been launched for the PC version of FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, which adds Steam Deck support and a number of other new features
Today there was an unexpected event that will delight fans of racing games.
Here's What We Know
For FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, which was released in 2007, a major update was released, which is actually a re-release of the game.
The racing game is now sold on Steam as part of the Collector's Edition.
From FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage removed the binding to the long-discontinued Games for Windows Live service, and also disabled the possibility of online multiplayer races.
Now joint races can be organised only in local mode on one computer. In addition, the game fixed a number of long-standing bugs, added support for several localisations and implemented full support for FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage on Steam Deck and added Steam achievements.
Notably, the re-release has nothing to do with the game's developers, it was released by ZOOM Platform - a shop that sells old games without DRM and improves their compatibility with modern devices.
Warning. If users want to return to the previous version of the game (GFWL), where there is multiplayer support, the developers recommend to do it through the beta tab in the properties of FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage in Steam.
