The United States acquires new missiles to replace ATACMS

The United States Army has signed a $219 million contract with Lockheed Martin for the production of the latest Precision Strike Missiles.

Here's What We Know

The missiles will be delivered in an early-ready configuration. As you know, this is the fourth contract for the production of surface-to-surface missiles, and they have allowed Lockheed Martin to increase production capacity for the US Army.

The United States Army plans to gradually switch to PrSM missiles, thus replacing the older MGM-140 ATACMS.

The Precision Strike Missile is a group of precision guided ballistic missiles that are designed to work with the M270A2 and M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
