The seventh major update is coming for Baldur's Gate III: Larian Studios will expand the "evil" endings and add modding tools to the game

Yesterday, we reported that Larian Studios has begun development on two ambitious new games on its own IP. However, this doesn't mean that fans of the ultra-popular RPG Baldur's Gate III will be left without updates and new options.

Here's What We Know

In its address to gamers, Larian Studios announced that at the moment they are finishing work on the seventh major update for Baldur's Gate 3.

In it, the developers promise to add new "evil" endings and improve the existing ones. Gamers will see new staged scenes, the characters will become more complex to react to the decisions made by the player, game designers will fix bugs, adjust the behaviour of some companions. In addition, the game will have an official toolkit for creating custom modifications, so players will be able to build their own full-fledged stories with quests, dialogue and animations. In the next few weeks, the developers will reveal more details about this editor and invite players to beta test it.

After the seventh update Baldur's Gate 3 plans to add cross-play between different platforms and continue fixing the remaining bugs.

More details about the developers' plans can be found on their Steam blog.
