Honor Magic V - Snapdragon 8 Gen1, foldable display, triple 50MP cameras, Magic UI 6.0 and Android 12 starting at $ 1,570
Honor has unveiled its debut foldable smartphone and at the same time the world's first based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile processor. The model is called Honor Magic V.
What is known
The novelty has received a folding panel with a diagonal of 7.9 ". The OLED display has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 2272 x 1984 dots. On the back there is an additional 6.45 ”FHD + screen with an aspect ratio of 21 to 9 and support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As previously reported, the Honor Magic V has two 42MP selfie cameras. The main camera received three modules with a resolution of 50 MP, but at the same time it was left without a telephoto lens with optical zoom. Equivalent focal lengths are 23mm, 20mm and 13mm.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile processor is complemented by 12 GB of RAM. Depending on the configuration, the storage can hold 256 GB or 512 GB of data. The capacity of the built-in battery is 4750 mAh, and the fast charging power is 66 W.
Prices
Honor Magic V cost $ 1,570 and $ 1,725, depending on the amount of internal storage. The start of sales is scheduled for January 18, 2022. The novelty will enter the market with the Magic UI 6.0 firmware, about which there will be a separate material, and the Android 12 OS. Whether the flagship will appear on the global market, the company itself does not yet know.
