Google has finally released OTA update for their latest flagships Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

What has been updated?

This is a long-awaited firmware for smartphone owners after the unsuccessful December update. Recall that that update brought a lot of problems, including with communication and connection. Then the manufacturer had to pause update distribution to fix any errors that occur. It even forced Google to disable a couple of its Pixel-exclusive features.

The January update contains all the fixes that were in the December update, as well as a few new ones from this month. If you are upgrading from the November patch, the update size is 215 MB, while from the December patch it is only 40 MB.

The firmware should fix connection issues, emergency calls, battery drain under some conditions, improve stability WiFi, as well as bring general UI fixes that should improve the user experience.

The update was released on January 14 and should be available to all Pixel 6s within the next week.
