Xiaomi has added Pure Mode to MIUI - what does it mean
There is a new mode in the MIUI software. It is an analogue of the Security Check in the ColorOS firmware and is called Pure Mode.
What is known
The new mode is focused on providing protection against malicious software. According to Xiaomi developers, the open source code of the operating system makes Android smartphones vulnerable. Nearly half (40%) of the applications that have ever been installed on a manufacturer's phones have never passed an information security audit. The company considers 10% of programs to be potentially dangerous.
Pure Mode is responsible for detecting Trojans and can determine what data a particular application has access to. Also, using the new function, you can check the compatibility of the software with the smartphone on which it will be installed.
Pure Mode blocks the installation of software that Xiaomi considers dangerous. But if desired, the user will still be able to install the apk file, even if the system automatically stops the installation. To do this, go to the settings, open Pure Mode and allow the installation of software. In addition, the new mode can be disabled.
