OnePlus has announced on the official form that it is ending support for two popular smartphones.

What is known

We are talking about OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. According to the manufacturer, the devices will no longer receive updates to the Android operating system. In addition, the company will also stop installing up-to-date security patches on devices.

Recall OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T came out in 2018 with Android Oreo 8.1 on board. Since then, the devices have received three major system updates.

By the way, the termination of the official support does not mean that devices should be retired. A larger community of developers has formed around smartphones. Thanks to them, devices will continue to receive third-party firmware. By the way, right now One Plus 6 and OnePlus 6T  You can install an unofficial build of Android 12.
