Square Enix has released a new gameplay video for the upcoming Life Is Strange Remastered collection, comparing the updated graphics to the original game.

The five-minute gameplay featured extended versions of Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. The video features character models in 4K, improved motion capture, in which the main characters Max and Chloe demonstrate more emotional and expressive animation with the help of an increased number of polygons.

Work has also been done on the character's lighting and hair physics to simulate believable movement and finer detail to bring the world to life.

Life Is Strange Remastered Collection launches February 1st on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will be playable thanks to backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the recently delayed Nintendo Switch version will be released at a later date.
