At Gamescom in August, Paradox Interactive announced that its popular PC strategy series Crusader Kings is finally making its console debut. The publisher has announced that Crusader Kings III will be playable on next-generation consoles on March 29th.

Paradox is referring to this release as an adaptation rather than a port due to all the changes that have been made to make the project playable on consoles. The user interface, text, menus, and more have been redesigned to make this addictive strategy game more comfortable to play with a controller.

To get the most out of the console, Crusader Kings III will load faster on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and support controller features such as haptics and adaptive triggers on DualSense.

Crusader King III was originally released for PC in 2020. This strategy game sets itself apart from others with its focus on new player-driven scenarios and an entertaining drama about navigating war and diplomacy. Console players will be able to join in on the fun and intrigue in March when the game launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, which are available for pre-order now.
