Fortnite returns to iOS thanks to Nvidia's GeForce Now service

Fortnite hasn't been available on iOS since Apple removed it from the App Store in August 2020, but it's now playable again on iPhone or iPad thanks to the closed beta of Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud gaming service. 

In the closed beta, you will be playing a mobile-optimized version of the game. If you've tried Fortnite on iOS or Android before, the system should feel familiar - the game is well-adapted to touch, with easy-to-navigate menus and large on-screen controls. This version of GeForce Now also supports controllers.

Please note, as with any cloud gaming service, you will need a powerful device and a fast internet connection to run smoothly.

However, it's unclear when this version of GeForce Now will become available more widely. You must request access to the closed beta, but it is not guaranteed, says on Nvidia website. The beta also only runs for an indefinite "limited time". Of course, you may have to wait a while before you get access to the game, but you will definitely be waiting longer until Epic Games' battle royale returns to the App Store.
