Named the 20 most anticipated smartphones in 2022: there were some surprises

Mozillion mobile phone market researchers analyzed the volume of Google search queries and based on this study, they compiled TOP-20 most anticipated smartphones of 2022.

Who is on the list?

Predictably, the first and second places are occupied by the main flagships of the year - iPhone 14 and Samsung Galaxy S22. At the same time, the iPhone 14 deservedly became the most anticipated smartphone, as it received more than 1 million requests worldwide. A competitor from Samsung has half as many search queries - 518 thousand. In third place is another Apple product - the inexpensive iPhone SE 3.

And here are some surprises. Vivo V23 seemed to be in fourth place with almost 200 thousand requests, and this is the only Vivo smartphone in 20-ke. Rounding out the top five is another flagship – Xiaomi 12.

By the way, the rating even includes several Nokia models and foldable smartphones OPPO Find N and Google Pixel Fold.

"Brands like Apple and Samsung are consistently popular with consumers, but it's great to see that our research has revealed demand for lesser-known brands like Xiaomi, Vivo and OPPO," said Mozillion founder Len Leeson.
