Tecno Pop 5S: 5.7-inch screen, dual camera and Android Go Edition on board for $108

Chinese manufacturer Tecno has announced a new ultra-budget smartphone Pop 5S.

What is known

The device was equipped with a 5.7-inch screen with an LCD matrix, HD + resolution and a waterdrop notch. It has a 2 MP front camera. The main one, in turn, received a 5 MP main sensor and an additional QVGA sensor. Tecno Pop 5S is powered by an unknown quad-core chipset. Its model is not listed on the official website, but most likely it is Unisoc SC9832E. The processor is paired with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. The device is powered by a 3020 mAh battery. The novelty has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The Android 10 Go Edition operating system is installed in the device out of the box. For those who are not in the know, this is a simplified version of the OS, which is specially optimized for smartphones with weak hardware. The novelty comes with a pre-installed package of lightweight Google applications. 

Price and when to expect

Tecno is already on sale, but so far only in Mexico. The issue price is $108.
