Samsung expands device support: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Tab S8 will have five years of updates

In 2020, Samsung promised to support its devices for four years, and now the manufacturer is going to increase the update period.

What is known

A document has appeared online, according to which the company will expand support for smartphones and tablets to five years. We are talking about four years of updates to the Android operating system and five years of support for security patches. Most likely, more about this will be discussed at the presentation. The new policy will apply to smartphones Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21FE, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablets.
