Hellblade 2 Developer Says First Part Will 'Like An Indie Game' Compared To Sequel
In an interview NME Hellblade developer Tamim Antoniades said, “The goal of Hellblade 2 is not to improve, but to create an experience that feels more believable and refined. The ambition in terms of scale is greater. I think Hellblade 2 will make the first Hellblade feel like an indie game."
Then, in an interview, Antoniades revealed what Ninja Theory went to to create the desired sense of reality for Hellblade 2. And the best way to do this is "base everything on real things."
It was also revealed that Ninja Theory researched forty locations in Iceland in order to scan them and bring them into the game engine, and did not allow their level designers to invent new paths or structures in the locations. The costumes that we will see in the game were created by hand and also transferred to the game. The team even hired a martial arts trainer so that Melina Jurgens, the actress who brought Senuu to life, could perform all of the combat combinations herself.
Ninja Theory has yet to announce a release date for the game. For all the time we received only trailer and art, which gives a small idea of the game. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is coming to PC and XBOX Series X|S.
