The first trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2 has appeared: new characters, a new engine and a mysterious story
During a livestream hosted by Jeff Keighley, the first trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2 premiered. The developers promised to release the game in 2023.
The game takes place six months after the first season, but still long before the Fable comic book series on which it is based. Bigby Wolf was removed from his position as sheriff of Fabletown by his new boss, Snow White, who became deputy mayor. Telltale says much of the story revolves around Bigby discovering his own definitions of good and evil when he meets a New York City detective and helps him with a tough new case. Players will encounter new characters including characters from The Wizard of Oz such as the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman.
The game was ported to Unreal Engine instead of the old Telltale game engine. Telltale did not reveal the specifics of the gameplay, saying only that it will be similar to the first season with some new additions. The trailer mainly shows scenes from 1 episode, while The Wolf Among Us will consist of five episodes in total. Telltale also confirmed that the sequel is in full production after spending the last couple of years in pre-planning.
You can play The Wolf Among Us 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
