Leica (yes, the one that helped Huawei with smartphone cameras) has announced a premium chronometer watch. New items do not have smart features and cost an order of magnitude more expensive than the latest generation Apple Watch.

What is known

The L1 and L2 models appeared in the Leica range. Both are equipped with a manual winding push-piece and correlating indicators. The watch was developed by Professor Achim Heine, who had a hand in the creation of a number of products of the German company. By the way, the Germans wanted to keep the inscription "Made in Germany" (Hergestellt in Deutschland), so most of the components were produced at the Lehmann Präzision GmbH plant.

The watch case is made of 316L steel and has a water resistance of 5ATM. The dial diameter is 41 mm. It is protected by domed glass, similar to an objective lens. The strap is made of calf and crocodile leather.

The Leica L1 cost €9,500. The Leica L2 version is priced at €13,500. The more expensive model boasts a day and night indicator, as well as two time zones.
