One of the most popular Xiaomi smartphones of 2019 may not receive MIUI 12.5

Despite the fact that Xiaomi has already started updating smartphones to MIUI 13, some of the company's models have not yet received MIUI 12.5, including Xiaomi Mi 9T.

What is known

According to the Xiaomi UI team, the Chinese manufacturer has launched closed testing of firmware V12.5.0.1.RFJMIXM for Xiaomi Mi 9T back in October 2021, but the build hasn't been updated since. Apparently, Xiaomi programmers have stopped software development and are not going to update the device anymore. Even though his brother Redmi K20 received MIUI 12.5 in China at the end of last year.

Recall that Xiaomi Mi 9T was released in 2019 with MIUI 10 on board. In 2021, the smartphone was updated to MIUI 12. The device has 6.39 inch AMOLED display without holes and cutouts, a 20 MP pop-up front camera, a 48 MP + 8 MP + 13 MP triple main camera, a Snapdragon 730 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a 4000 mAh battery with 18-watt charging.
