OPPO has announced a major system update for the OPPO Watch 2 smartwatch.

What is known

The firmware was released with the number ColorOS Watch 3.0 and received a lot of useful changes. First of all, the developers have updated the watch interface and application shortcuts. The appearance of the system now resembles that in OPPO smartphones with ColorOS 12 on board. In addition, the application "Calendar", and also added Health Assistant and digital car key support. The developers also improved the sleep tracking function, the sports capabilities of the watch, and the operation of the system as a whole. The update has already begun to receive watch owners in China.

Recall, OPPO Watch 2 is sold in two sizes: 42 mm and 46 mm. The younger model has a 1.74" display, while the older one has a 1.91" display. Both versions have an AMOLED matrix with rounded edges and a frequency of 60 Hz. Under the hood of the watch, the Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip is working. It is paired with 1 GB of RAM and the proprietary Apollo 4s SoC. Thanks to it and a 360/510 mAh battery (depending on size), the gadget can live up to 4 days with normal use or up to 16 days with power saving mode. The watch also supports proprietary VOOC 2.0 fast charging. Of the sensors in OPPO Watch 2, there is a heart rate monitor, SpO2, GPS and a pedometer. The watch can track 100 different activities.
