God of War mod lets you take on the role of Atreus, son of Kratos

A new mod for God of War will make Atreus playable and allow players to try on the role of Kratos Jr.

A new mod from modder Speclizer will allow players to take on the role of Atreus, as you can see from the gameplay demo below.

The video shows how this mod will work. First, the son of Kratos shoots arrows at the Stranger in the game's debut boss fight, and then runs around the open areas of the game's world and fights the fearsome troll Brenn Dowdy.

While it's not yet a finished product from Speclizer, the mod already looks impressive. In particular, the animation of Atreus archery. Perhaps this mod will be released before this year's God of War Ragnarok.

God of War is available on PS4/5 and PC.
