$450,000 into space – Virgin Galactic launches suborbital ticket sales

The American company Virgin Galactic began selling tickets for suborbital flights. The press service notes that emotions fully compensate for the almost half a millionth cost of the program.

To become a space tourist, you need to be a very wealthy person. The ticket price was $450,000. It also includes membership in the Future Astronaut community and check-in at a hotel near the New Mexico spaceport. To reserve a seat, you need to immediately pay $150,000. The remaining $300,000 can be transferred to the Virgin Galactic account just before departure.

The American aerospace company intends to sell 1,000 tickets. The first flights are scheduled for the end of this year. The duration of the entire program will be only an hour and a half, taking into account the transfer to the plane by ferry. During the flight, space tourists will be in a state of weightlessness for several minutes.
