Game of the day: JPMorgan bank opened a virtual branch in the metaverse
It's been a long time since there's been any strange news about the metaverses, and now JPMorgan, one of the world's largest banks, has shown up. He opened his own branch in the Decentraland universe.
JPMorgan is the world's first financial institution to officially open in a virtual universe. The branch is called Onyx, as the organization's own blockchain platform. The bank stated that the decision was dictated by the huge potential of this direction.
A digital tiger and a portrait of Jamie Diamond, CEO of JPMorgan, are the first things that greet customers at the bank. Visitors are invited to read a presentation on cryptoeconomics.
Representatives of the organization note that in the future the metaverse will reach all sectors. Virtual banks will be able to issue virtual loans for the purchase of virtual housing. This can already be taken seriously, as in 2021, about $54 billion was spent on goods in the metaverse.
