Rumor: Xiaomi is preparing a 5G version of Redmi Note 11S

At the end of last month, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 11 line of smartphones to the global market, which includes four models: Note 11, Note 11S, Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G. Now, it seems that the manufacturer has decided to expand the family even more.

What to expect?

The new model number "K16B" was found in the IMEI database. The code name of the smartphone is "opal", but the exact name is not specified. However, sources suggest that under this number lies 5G version Redmi Note 11S.

The model number is very similar to the "K16A" that POCO M4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 5G (China) have, so it's likely that the new Note model could have nearly identical specs. Both of these smartphones are equipped with a Dimensity 810 chip, so the Redmi Note 11S 5G could also get a MediaTek chip.

In any case, if the gadget appeared in the IMEI database, then its official announcement is just around the corner.
