Insider: flagship Xiaomi 12 Ultra will receive a new top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ processor

Just yesterday we wrote that the existence of the top flagship Xiaomi 12 Ultra seems to be confirmed - Model number L2S (2206122SC) appeared in the IMEI database, and sources claim that this is Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Now there are new details about the future novelty.

Top "iron"

A well-known Chinese insider Digital Chat Station assures that the upcoming flagship will receive a new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 + processor, which at that time will replace the Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

So, a device with the corresponding model number appeared on the radars with an unnamed SoC Qualcomm SM8475. And since the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 has the model number SM8450, it's safe to assume that this is indeed the Plus variant.

Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ is rumored to be manufactured at 4nm process technology, but already TSMC, not Samsung, on which the current Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is based.

The release of Xiaomi 12 Ultra and the Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ processor is expected no earlier than the end of the third quarter of 2022, or rather, in July or August.
